Founded in1993, the Department of Applied English (DAE) aims to train its students to be English professionals in many different fields. The following states DAE's mission along with the core competencies we work to develop in our students prior to their graduation.

Mission

Striving to enhance academic performance, the Department of Applied English aims to cultivate English professionals through a variety of courses designed to facilitate students to be competent in English with a special focus on skill applications in professional areas. It also aims to strengthen students' interpersonal abilities developed upon their awareness of their roles in relation to others, and to help students develop into responsible citizens with a global perspective.

C4. The ability to do project analysis, planning and execution.
C5. The ability to clarify, mediate and solve problems.

C8. The ability to engage in cross-cultural communication.
C9. The ability to perceive and assume personal responsibilities in the society and the global world.
C10. The ability to do extensive reading to enhance knowledge in professional areaa and / or in humanity as well as to empower him - or her - self.
